Every pet owner deserves a break, whether it's a holiday or just a weekend away. We offer a range of services to take care of your pet in your own home, so your pet can feel safer and more secure while you're away. We're fully insured and your pet will be in very safe hands.

We provide services in Church Stretton, Little Stretton, All Stretton and the surrounding villages.

Dog Walking and Sitting

Whether you're away or simply struggling to find time, we can take your dog for walks to ensure he or she is well exercised. We offer short walks, or longer walks onto the hills of Church Stretton if your dog is more energetic.

We pride ourselves on providing individual care to each dog and can spend as much or as little time with them as needed. If you need someone to take care of your dog while you're away, please get in touch so we can discuss your requirements.

Cat Sitting

Let your cat enjoy the comfort of daily routines in his or her own home with our cat sitting services. We offer one or two visits per day to your home, during which we’ll make sure your cat – or cats! – receive all the attention they need while you’re away.

We’ll feed, change water, and clean or change litter trays as appropriate each day, plus provide playtime to ensure your cats are happy and exercised. We provide a truly customizable service, so please get in touch so that we can discuss your individual requirements and make sure your kitties are as happy as possible.

We’re also fully capable of looking after your smaller animals, including birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. As these animals vary in their individual needs, our actual activities may vary, but overall we’ll ensure that your pets are clean, fed, watered, and happy, no matter their size or activity level.

If we can, we’ll also ensure your small animals have some time outside of their cages or pens, to ease boredom and get in some critical exercise. Just get in touch to find out how we can take care of your small animal while you’re away.

NOTE A pre-visit will be required for us to meet your pet and to fill in the appropriate paperwork to ensure that you and your pet receive a full personal service.

Pricing

Our standard prices are listed below, but we know each animal is different and we are happy to discuss a more customised service bespoke to your needs. Please contact us with your situation and we'll have a conversation before providing you with a customised quote.

Sitting any animal in its own environment
  • £8 for 30 minutes
  • £12 for 1 hour
  • £15 for two 30 minute visits in the same day
  • Rates are negotiable for stay-in pet sitting.
Includes stimulating play, topping up food and water as required, removal of litter.
Dog walking
  • £8 for 30 minutes
  • £10 for 45 minutes
  • £12 for 1 hour
  • £22 for a 2 hour hill walk
Includes disposal of dog litter, stimulating play in a local green space, topping up food and water as required. Dogs would not normally be let off their leads unless they are socialised and pre-agreed by the owner.

NOTE Loyalty scheme available. Reduced rates for over 75s.

About

Hello! My name is Carol Atkins and I live in Church Stretton.

From a very early age, I was raised with pets of all different kinds and truly discovered how rewarding it was to love and care for them. When I wasn’t able to have a pet of my own, I’ve taken family and friends’ dogs for walks, and sat dogs, cats and other animals wherever needed. Carol’s Critter Club has allowed me to have a complete change of lifestyle, doing something which I really enjoy and providing a valuable service to my local community.

Rest assured your pet will be in caring hands and will have my undivided attention at all times whilst in my care. Pets have feelings and do not enjoy being left alone for long periods of time, nor does it benefit them to be in the crowded and unfamiliar environment of a kennel or cattery. Our pet sitting services keep your pets comfortable and happy in their own homes with their own routines, own food, and personalized attention each and every day.
